Spotless AdBlue® filling

Spotless AdBlue® fillingn
- filler hose with drip-stop
- no contamination
- no smell

Tool specialist KS Tools has adopted a clean solution for filling AdBlue® into their product range. Ultimately, due to the new Euro 6 Standard, there are ever more vehicles on the road in which the medium is utilised for exhaust after-treatment. But often enough when using urea, a few drips escape. This aggressive substance can attack metal and fabric within a very short time indeed. Which is why clean filling is so important. The new filler hose with drip-stop helps workshops to deliver spotless work and moreover protect the customers‘ vehicles in the best possible way. The KS Tools product number is 550.1288.

Until now, reliable entry-level solutions for AdBlue® refilling service have been very few and far between. Service companies often have to improvise. However, many don‘t know that clean handling of the aggressive urea is a paramount obligation. Because it not only disperses bad odour, it can also attack materials in the vehicle. That‘s made so much the worse as the filler necks are often inside the vehicle and thus affect upholstery, clothes and carpets.
The safe-handling hose from KS Tools is very simple to use and caters for cleanliness due to its drip-stop feature.
Moreover, the well thought out hose-in-hose solution sees to it that the air can escape from the tank during the filling procedure so that the fluid runs continuously and swiftly.
Because urea crystallises quickly in the atmosphere and thereby also leaves behind ugly contamination, one should take the utmost care when using it. It is particularly dangerous when AdBlue® encounters metal. Because it reacts with many metals and can induce severe corrosion in no time. The bad smell is almost nothing compared to this.
The hose screws very easily onto all commercially available and OE AdBlue® drums with five or ten litre contents. This way, the AdBlue® goes directly from the container into the tank without loss. Even after withdrawing the hose, no urea can go off-target due to the drip-stop.
AdBlue® is used in diesel vehicles with the new Euro 6 Standard to reduce nitrogen emission. Even since 2009 some of the high-end diesel models from Mercedes / BMW /VAG and Mazda already had an exhaust after-treatment system (SCR) and therefore required the AdBlue® top-up service. By this means, the nitrogen emission can be reduced by around 90 percent. AdBlue® contains 32.5 percent urea in demineralised water and is manufactured synthetically.
