Brake servicing is a routine operation in every workshop. However, the correct special tool for rewinding the brake piston is not always available. Tools specialist KS Tools now offer a universal brake piston rewind tool which includes a special adapter. This means that the workshop professional can now be equipped for brake repairs on all makes of vehicles. Since the new adapter replaces most of the adapter plates previously necessary for different types with a single part. „The adapter plates in particular have some interesting innovations“, as the KS Tools project management knows. „Because of the large number of different braking systems and the constant development of these systems, it is almost impossible to own all of the necessary adapters.“
The key feature of the new KS Tools set is an adjustable adapter with two pins. By means of a simple adjustment, the distance between the pins can be altered. The universal adapter thus covers the majority of applications with two or more symmetrically-arranged cut-outs in the brake piston. The new adapter alone is suitable for more than 1,500 vehicle types. Also included in the delivery scope is an additional adapter plate, which will enable all previous commercially-available adapters to be mounted.
Only a single pressure spindle is necessary for driving purposes, since this is suitable for both clockwise and anticlockwise rotating pistons. Simple alteration of the tool ensures that it is always ready for use in moments. „Anyone who deals with different vehicle makes on a daily basis will not want to be without this tool“, the project management is convinced. „Since time spent searching for the correct adapter or the right spindle is no longer necessary.“ It is in fact a universal tool.
