New tool for mounting bolted track plates

New tool for mounting bolted track plates
- Loosen and tighten short screw heads securely
- Good grip with countersunk screw head
- Indispensable for the tuning workshop

Special screws with a short head are used for screwed track plates. For correct wheel mounting, the bolt must not protrude from the recesses in the track plate. Exactly these screws are often difficult to loosen. Tool specialist KS Tools from Heusenstamm has a solution for this problem in its product range: the half inch special power socket set for bolted track plates.
The nuts in different sizes fit perfectly on the screw heads and provide a safe track plate and tyre mounting. The product number of the tool set is 515.0605.

“Due to their countersunk and short screw heads, it is not easy to mount or remove screwed track plates,” says KS Tools. “And that‘s a good thing, too, because the plates are supposed to be really tight.” However, when you need to unscrew them, it can easily become problematic. In addition: there is only little space for a nut between the screw and the track plate. Exactly in this case it is good to have the half inch special force socket set for screwed track plates from KS Tools.

Ideal for short head screws
The three-piece socket set is ideal for mounting the short head screws. The set contains three sockets made of phosphated chrome-molybdenum steel and is very robustly designed. The hexagon nuts each have a half-inch inner square according to DIN 3121 / ISO 1174. This makes the tool also suitable for use with an impact wrench.

Three-part set in a case
The high-quality sockets come in a sturdy plastic case and are thus optimally protected and always at hand. The set contains a 1/2“ special force socket for screwed track plates with a length of 17 millimetres, a 1/2“ special force socket for screwed track plates with a length of 19 millimetres and a 1/2“ special force socket for screwed track plates with a length of 21 millimetres.
