The ratchet is very much a bread-and-butter tool in the workshop, as not a day goes by without a mechanic reaching for one at some point. So a high-quality ratchet is even more valuable: if it’s easy to work with, every repair job will simply go better. KS Tools has now launched a new ratchet range that’s causing quite a stir: the Monster ratchet definitely lives up to its name as it maintains the high standards expected of all Monster tools, combining top quality with immense practicality. What makes the Monster ratchet truly unique is the mechanism enclosed in the ratchet head that prevents dirt from getting in and maintains its high level of precision. And then there is also the highly reliable double-pin technology that stops the ratchet mechanism from simply slipping. The two pins enable the force-locking connection between the gear teeth to be improved many times over, making high-precision working child’s play. Special lubricants are also used to ensure that the mechanism can work completely friction-free. At the same time, a ball lock on the square guarantees even greater safety, makes the tool even more reliable and keeps the connection secure. The extremely strong grip prevents slippage and thus avoids injuries to the mechanic and damage to the vehicle.
Powerful yet high-quality
With its tightening torque of up to 1,000 newton-metres, the Monster ratchet has no trouble creating or undoing tight connections. “It’s the best ratchet we’ve ever made,” says a confident Orhan Altin, CEO of KS Tools. “That’s also documented by the unique serial number that each of our individually tested Monster ratchets is entitled to bear. We require all our Monster tools to be premium and innovative, and these new ratchets are no exception, of course.” The toothing is another example of technical finesse. The halfinch version of the Monster ratchet comes with as many as 100 teeth, ensuring a tiny changeover angle of just 3.6 degrees.
Ultra-lightweight
Another particular area of focus when developing the Monster ratchet was its weight: it is 15% slimmer and 10% lighter than comparable products, making it especially easy to work with without fatigue creeping in.
