The tool specialist KS Tools from Heusenstamm is taking a further step into the electromobility business. With wallboxes, mobile charging stations and charging cables under the efuturo brand, the company is giving its customers the opportunity to position themselves as electrical professionals. The philosophy behind it is quite simple: efuturo concentrates on the essentials and does this excellently. The elegantly shaped, specially designed products dispense with offering the umpteenth special version and reduce the charging of electric vehicles to the essentials. As a result, efuturo wallboxes represent unbeatable good value. This is because the prices of both the product and installing it are low. As a result, automotive professionals can now install home charging stations for their customers with electric vehicles. Alternatively, they can offer an attractive charging point on their own business premises.
„We see great potential in electromobility for vehicle repair shops,“ explains Orhan Altin, Managing Director of KS Tools. „Now that we already have a whole range of tools for electric and hybrid vehicles in our range, the addition of charging stations and accessories was the logical next step. We‘ve looked at what most people with electric cars or plug-in hybrids really need when it comes to charging their cars, and what they don‘t. We‘ve developed efuturo based on that.“
Safe and easy-to-install wallboxes
All efuturo wallboxes have a type B ground fault circuit interrupter and overheating protection. This means efuturo wallboxes can be operated safely. Although they all have a compact design, they are very easy to install. After all, even during their design, we thought about how they would be installed. The robust plastic housing is also suitable for use outdoors. Optionally, customers can choose an electricity meter and access control for the wallboxes. They are supplied complete with instructions, drilling templates and the applications for the mandatory registration with the energy supplier.
Wallboxes for all requirements
The efuturo station one wallbox for 230 volts is a powerful source of current for all common electric vehicles. It is available with an output of 3.7 or 7.4 kW. It is suitable for both wall and column mounting and has either a type 2 charging socket or a permanently installed high-quality charging cable. The cable is five metres long and is equipped with a type 2 plug, mode 3. If the box is equipped with a socket, a vehicle with a type 1 plug can of course also be charged with the appropriate cable. The electrician connects this wallbox to a normal 230 volt connection in the building.
The efuturo station tripower 11 and 22 kW enable faster charging cycles. They are also suitable for wall or column mounting. They are available with a charging socket or an integrated charging cable with type 2 plug, mode 3. The electrician installs them on a three-phase 400 volt connection in the building.
KS Tools has also thought about the accessories for the wallboxes. Thus, there is a colour-coordinated design frame to give an even more attractive look. The company also offers suitable columns for outdoor installation in a car park. They are available for one or two wallboxes. The accessories are supplemented by holders for plugs or cables, electricity meters and RFID cards for controlled access.
Accessories for wallboxes from efuturo
KS Tools has also thought of motorists who want to charge their electric vehicle even if there is no charging station in the vicinity. The efuturo universal and universal max mobile charging stations are available for this. They are mobile charging stations for connection to a normal single-phase earthed socket with 230 volts. They contain a charging cable with a type 2 plug, mode 2. Their output can be set to 2.3 kW at 10 amps or 3.7 kW at 16 amps. The earthed cable is 1.5 metres long, the charging cable 4 metres long. As you would expect, the mobile charging stations have overheating protection and are also suitable for outdoor use. Furthermore, the efuturo universal max is equipped with an LCD display which gives information about the charging time. In addition to the mobile charging stations mentioned above, KS Tools‘ range also includes the efuturo universal pro. It has an integrated timer as well as the functions of the universal max. This allows its charging time to be programmed. In this way, drivers of electric vehicles can recharge their batteries at a low overnight rate.
With „Connection Manager“
Under the name efuturo link, KS Tools offers various charging cables for its automotive customers. They are available in different versions as straight or spiral cables and either with an open end or with the plugs for the different types. A suitable cable bag is always included with complete cables. KS Tools knows that, especially in the field of electric vehicles, developments are progressing rapidly; as a result, all products of the efuturo series are guaranteed for five years. In addition, there is a personal „Connection Manager“ for all efuturo products who is there to answer customers‘ questions.
