When diesel engines loose power, a compression test can shed light on the cause. Tool specialist KS Tools based in Heusenstamm, Hessen, has extended its range of compression testing equipment to include a new set for diesel engines. The 36-piece set is also compatible with other commercially available equipment. With the largest number of adapters, this set in the most comprehensive in the KS range and thereby particularly valuable to the work in the repair shop. That‘s because many workshops own a compression pressure writer but lack the vehicle-specific access adapter. The adapters are suitable for glow plugs as well as screwed and clamped injector nozzles.
A large and easily read pressure gauge up to 70bar /1000psi with shock protection and a pressure relieving knob makes the equipment particularly suitable for everyday use. And because all the parts in the box are numbered and these numbers repeated on the nests in the box supplied, the mechanic can always quickly find the appropriate adapter in the hectic of the workshop routine and put it back again.
