KS Tools continues its expansion

The tool specialist, KS Tools from Heusenstamm in Hesse, will be taking bold strides into the future in 2023 as well. The company had already increased its performance enormously in 2021 and 2022, and now the logistics experts with a broad business base are taking things even further. Another huge, fully automated pallet warehouse for loaded workshop trolleys is currently being built at the company‘s headquarters in Heusenstamm. It is scheduled for completion by 2027, at which point KS Tools will then have recourse to a total of 44,326 pallet spaces. Before the expansion in 2021, the figure was 7,589. This corresponds to a fivefold increase in storage capacity over five years.
„We already found ourselves in an excellent position in 2021,“ explains KS Tools Managing Director Orhan Altin. „But we never rest on our laurels. We’re always striving to get closer to perfection and, of course, we want to achieve more satisfied customers. At the beginning of 2023, we reached an important milestone in our major expansion. And now we’re pressing ahead.“
Inventory is the key to growth
Altin is convinced that the company will only be able to grow consistently in the future if it has an appropriate level of stock to fall back on. Businesses that cannot deliver in the short term won’t be able to retain their customers over the long term. That’s why the company had already tripled its warehouse space between 2021 and 2022. With the new, additional warehouse in Heusenstamm, a fivefold increase will be inaugurated in 2027.
However, the secret of KS Tools‘ success is not the space alone, but also the cutting edge warehouse logistics that help employees to put the company’s show on the road, literally. Optimised processes ensure that everything runs smoothly. Since 2022, the company has also offered its customers a virtual warehouse with stock that is always up to date. Retailers can also access this warehouse via dropshipping, thus saving themselves valuable storage space on their own premises. The stock is kept constantly up to date, it is checked and secured every night by fully automatic drones that take a complete inventory. The fully automated warehouse management software ensures same-day delivery, and provides another guarantee that stock levels are monitored at all times.

This has allowed us to continue our steady growth, and to keep our clients happy even during the COVID pandemic.“ Altin is aware that his team has been very efficient in recent years, and will continue to be so. It is the perfect interplay of an excellent warehouse infrastructure, the ERP and WMS software that was programmed in-house, and highly motivated employees, that he regards as the key to success.
